Create a Feel Good Home Experience
Welcome to the season of spring cleaning. As we come out of hibernation from the strange-mask-wearing-home-bound winter, we might notice that a few to-do’s have piled high.
Call me the Mari Kondo of cleaning, but I’m a big fan of the once-in-a-while big overhaul clean. I call it my home bathing philosophy. It’s one of the things I’ll be teaching in Cleaning Class, when I launch this online 8-week cleaning experience. Give your home a real bath vs. a sponge bath and it will stay cleaner for longer.
If your space has gathered dust and chores have been sidelined, I want to remind you that you are the creator of your own feel-good home experience. Finding a bit more joy at home starts with understanding how you operate best.
Some live well in organized chaos, while others need systemized processes for everything. Hello 👋 to the color coded closet organizers, who keep a label maker within arms reach...I see you. And to the ones with a teetering pile of items on their dresser, creating a complex Jenga home clutter situation...I see you too. There’s no right way to live at home. What matters most is how you feel about the way you live.
If you’d like to get started on spring cleaning at home, I suggest you check out the oven cleaning guide I released last month. And lastly, to get you in the cleaning groove and inspired at home, here’s our monthly Spotify playlist, pet, and plant feature.
Featured Pet
Our team absolutely adores Hugo. He follows us around to supervise our cleanings, for quality assurance. Our teammate at The Tidy People, Kim, even went the extra mile over the holidays to print her favorite photos of Hugo for his humans. Like I said, we love Hugo!
Featured Plant: Satin Pothos
We spotted this Satin Pothos plant in a client’s home recently and realized we have a smaller start to this plant at our office. Once this plant gets to growing, its can become hearty in size and is a great plant to vine around furniture. Self described, the leaves on this plant has a silky-satin sheen to them. Native to Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, and the Philippines.
